In 2018, Robinson Public Company Limited was extremely successful in all sectors. Since its inception 39 years ago, the Company has thrived to become Thailand’s leading “Department Store and Lifestyle Center” with the highest number of stores nationwide. Indeed, such resounding success is a testament to the Company’s unwavering endeavors in constantly expanding its investment in provinces which have strong economic potential, in keeping with introducing leading-edge products and service excellence to customers across the Kingdom in order to efficiently increase its market share, on par with generating the maximum profits.
The year 2018 saw an inauguration of two new stores, making a total 48 operating stores including “Department Store and Lifestyle Center” formats nationwide. Thanks to its 11 stores in Bangkok Metropolitan Area, together with 37 stores in regional area, the Company is able to successfully occupy strategic locations across the country against a challenging economic backdrop for retail business.
Running in parallel with that, the Company has placed a paramount significance on human resource development, in line with launching a string of strategic marketing plans so as to reach our target group and achieve a continuous growth in its revenue and profitability. Furthermore, by taking the “Robinson Makes Good Deeds” campaign as its theme, the Company has enhanced its role in looking after the society, community and loving environment, while customers are also able to participate in worthwhile social contribution activities for sustainable development. To this end, it helps pave way for the Company to triumphantly maintain its widespread popularity among Thai shoppers, on par with preserving the utmost benefits for shareholders, customers, trading partners, as well as its staff.
Thanks to success across fields, the Company was conferred the Outstanding Investor Relations Award for two years in a row at the SET Awards 2018. What’s more, the Company was, for 12 years consecutively, presented with the "Thailand Labour Management Excellence Award 2018" for Labour Relations and Welfare from the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, the Ministry of Labor. This achievement was an honor of the Company as an organization that promoted employees’ quality of life and career advancement. Similarly, the Company has always been a leading organization with good corporate governance due to fairness and transparency in business. This practice was in accordance with the government’s policies as evidenced by a certificate of the membership endorsement of the Thailand’s Private Sector Collective Action Coalition Against Corruption.
